So little Miss Evelyn Rose has just the most creative little mind. She is always making up silly jokes. Some of them don't make sense, but she still laughs. The first joke she make up is: Q:How does the cow feel? A:It doesn't feel well. Implying that a cow doesn't have fingers to feel with so it doesn't feel well. But tonight she made up the cutest punch line all by herself. We laughed so hard. So I helped her put the joke together, but her creative mind made the punch line. Here is how it goes: Q:Why did the hair cross the road? A:Because the brush said comb hair! LOL! You see what happened was Travis had given Evelyn a shower and he was drying her off and I was waiting for her on the couch, so I could brush her hair. Travis said, "Ok Evelyn your all dried off go to Mommy so she can comb your hair" And she was taking her sweet time so I said "Come here Evelyn". Well she said it in her mind and then out loud on her way to me. And when she got to me she laughed and said,"Get it Mommy Comb hair, Come here" So while I was brushing her hair we made the rest of the joke and she came up with the punch line al by her silly self. She is such a funny little thing and a very creative mind!
Travis had to work for the beginning of the day. We weren't really sure when he would get home. But things were getting slow at work so he was able to get off early. So he came home and since it was so hot in the house we decided to go to some stores to stay cool. So we went to Toys "R" Us. We walked around until we got board then we drove to the Dollar Tree so we could get some glow necklaces. So we went to the Dollar tree and then we met with Dave and Misty and their family at Chick Flia. Yum!!! We ate dinner there and then we all headed to Lake Elsinore to John's dad's place. (that is my sister-in-law's husbands dad) To watch fire works on the lake and to celebrate my neice Kayla's first birthday. April and Brian came and joined us there. We had a wonderful time. We were able to see 3 different firework shows. And we did sparklers and John's family did their own fire works. Here are some pictures but there is more on the smug mug site.(the link is at the bottom).

The first picture you see katelyn is very mad at Aunt April because she has her feet on one of the pincess chairs. But there is a funny story about her little chair that she carried every where she went. You see when we went to the check out at toys r us she wouldn't get out. So Travis had to carry her in the chair to the car, and then it took both of us to get her out of it and put it in the back of the car. She loves that little princess chair so much. Silly girl!

Here is Evelyn in her princess chair. She also has her Cinderella wand, you can't sit in the princess chair with out it you know. Doesn't she look so cute in her patriotic outfit. I love her hair cut, it suites her. My little girl is growing up so fast!

Happy 1st Birthday Kayla!
April and Brian. The Newly weds! Thank you so much for coming and spending the 4th with us. We love you guys!
This is Connor John Spiderman Spymario Superfast Jet! I hope I got that right. :)

Yummy birthday cupcakes. I love what it did to the girl's lips.
Here is Kayla opening our gift we got her. Her first Cabbage Patch doll.
Silly Misty!
Katelyn was mad that her fruit snack was dirty and that she had sand in her mouth. Crazy Girl!

The first pictures are of Evelyn doing sparklers oh and she is eating a ring pop :) Then Brian put the tall sparklers from their wedding in the sand in a row it looks so pretty.
And here are some shots of the Lake Elsinore fireworks.

The reflection on the water was so pretty. We had a wonderful time. Happy Birthday to Kayla and Happy 4th to everyone! And if you didn't get enough pictures there are more on our family album site on smug mug. The link is at the bottom.
So Travis and I went to Palm Springs just over night. To celebrate and get away for our five year anniversary. We got a hotel room with a jacuzzi suite.
We stayed at the 7 Springs. Found the room to be very nice. Isn't the little towel elephant cute. It was just like the little towel animals we had on our honeymoon.
So we dropped the kids off with Jeff and Marsha and went to Palm Springs. Knowing that it was expected to be a high of 116 degrees. We made plans to take the Ariel Tram up to the top of the San Jacinto Mountains. Which was something neither of us had ever done. So we checked in to our hotel and rested a little bit. Then we headed up to the tram. Just where you board the tram was amazingly cooler so we were excited to get to the top where it was suppose to be in the high 70s. Even cooler than it was at home. We bought our tickets and waited to board the tram. So we got on and started up to the top. Wow that thing goes pretty fast.
We thought we had a good place to stand right in front with the windows open, but right after we headed up they started the floor rotating. But that was cool because then we got views all the way around. Here are some pictures, but there are a lot more on Smug mug the link is at the bottom.
The picture of the other tram is going down as we go up. You see one tram pulls the other one up so there is a half way point where we pass the other tram. Very exciting. The view was amazing and the higher we went up the cooler it got. We were so excited to get out of the heat.
So we walked through the shopping area and went up to the top where the view was amazing.
There aren't to many pictures of Travis since he is the one with the camera. But I was able to get some pictures of him.
Here is one with Palm Springs in the back gound. Isn't he just so handsome. I had taken a better picture of Travis but he had to crop it cause there was a shadow that had been cast in an inappropriate place. LOL And here is one of me with Palm Springs in the back ground.
So we walked around and went to their little movie area where they showed little films of how the tram was constructed, etc. Then we walked around some more. Waiting to kill time to go to the restaurant. So I remembered that my mom had said there was a tree that smells like butter scotch. But we didn't want to just go around and smell trees like weirdos. So I went into this little gift shop and we asked the two people in there. They were very very helpful and nice. And after their thourough explination of what it looks like we were of down the trail to find it. Well luckily we didnt have to go to far because we weren't dressed for a hike. So we found it and like a couple of crazy people stuck our noses in the tree bark. And amazingly it smelled like butter scotch. One guy said as he was walking by us, that it smelled more like carmel. We just laughed.
Travis had to take a picture of me smelling the tree. He said it was funny, because it looks like I am going to make out with the tree. But really if you ever get the chance to go up there you have to look for this tree. It's called Jeffrey Pine and it had a big trunk, redish bark and three pine needles in a cluster and they are really long.

So after we found the tree is was time to go back up and go to the restaurant. So we went up there and there was another couple in front of us. And the hostest was alittle confused so we thought she was talking to us and they thought she was talking to them. So like in stero Travis and the other man tell her their names and it was so crazy they both say Travis at the same time. And then we all laugh and she says your last name and they both say Miller. What are the crazy odds. We all looked at each other and laughed. Isn't that just wild. So they sat us and we had a pretty good view. They were alittle slow with the service but the food was soooo good. It was so good infact that we had some one join us for dinner. It was a squriel on the floor inside the restaurant. They said he frequents there a lot and it was normal. Very entertaining. I have a picture of our dessert which has a funny story behind it, but I won't get into it right now. But here is a picture of it. It's berries and cream.
So after we finish our dessert we hurried to the tram because after a certain hour they stop running it every half hour and go to every hour. We wanted to get down to our hotel room. I had forgotten to get candles so we stopped at a riteaid to get some. We then wanted to rent a movie. So we went to a Savon where they had a red box where you could rent movies for a dollar. We rented two movies. Our room had a really good surround sound system. Here is the picture of our bathub and room.
Very romantic. We took a bath, relaxed and watch the movies that we rented. It was a very nice night. Long over due! So then we slept in and then packed up and left. We went and walked a couple of the stores on the strip. Here is a picture of me with Sonny Bono. :)
Then it was lunch time and we drove to the Riverwalk shopping. We went to a hat shop and tried on hats. This one was my favorite and I so wish I could have gotten it. But anyway we ate at the best BBQ place called Babe's. It was so good. We then walked around the shops and then came home since our babysitter's were going to be no longer avaliable. We wished we could have had more time to be alone. But there will be other times.Travis had to leave early in the morning for Az. the next day. But all in all we had a wonderful time in Palm Springs. And it was a wonderful Anniversary.
