We threw Evelyn just a small little birthday party with our brothers and sisters, a couple of friends and Travis' parents. There was this really cool cake that we wanted to get. It was Strawberry Shortcake. So we threw a Strawberry Short Cake party. But when we went to order the cake they stopped making it so we got a really cool cupcake cake. Here is Travis with all the kids in his arms.
Isn't she so pretty! 4 yrs old and growing up so fast. Here she is making a wish as she blows out her candles. Here she is on her brand new Barbie bike that she got from Mommy and Daddy. Her first bike ever. She is growing up so fast.

Ever since we moved in Evelyn has wanted to make cookies from scratch. I had told her in all the place we have lived that the kitchen wasn't big enough. So finally we live in a place where the kitchen is big enough. We decided to surprise her and we bought the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. The night of her birthday we made birthday cookies. Here is some pictures of her making cookies for the first time.( from scratch)

So after the first batch of cookies had cooled we stuck 4 candles in four cookies. We then sang happy birthday. Well after Evelyn had blown out her candles she decided with out asking that she would help take them out. Well the wax was a little hot still and she burned her little finger. So Travis took a picture of her crying I don't know why. She forgot all about it by the time she was done eating her cookie.
Wow, where did the time go. She is already four years old. I just want to start off by thanking God for entrusting us with such a wonderful little girl. I pray that we will raise a righteous woman of God and that she will grow to become a woman after God's own heart. She is just the smartest 4 yr old you will ever find. She has a very creative mind and the biggest sweetest heart. She has so much love for everyone. She is also so beautiful. We just love her so much. She was so excited last night for her birthday she came in our room many times. It was hard for her to stay in bed. She is so funny. She thought she was being sneaky but mom knows better. She would run to the lowest step to where we couldn't see her and she would duck down. Travis didn't believe me when I told him she was on the steps. So I said Evelyn Rose get up right now. She popped her head up and laughed. Which made us laugh and we told her to go back to bed! About five more times we did that and then finally she stayed in her room. She was just so excited. Since we have moved to our new house she has been dying to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Something we have never done before but I always told her when we move and we get a bigger kitchen we can make chocolate cookies together. I figured I would surprise her with that activity to do tonight for her birthday. She knows that she has a surprise coming that she is going to do with mommy when daddy gets home, because he has to go and buy the ingredients for it. I can't wait. And of course I am making her favorite meal: meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. That is what she calls her "favoritest dinner ever". I hope she has the best day on her birthday. Travis is always trying to get me to start a hobby. But everything cost money. So I am trying to dive into the world of digital scapbooking. So far it's been a lot of fun. It's not very hard you just have to know how to use photoshop. Plus I found some free sites for papers and embelishments. So here is what I have done so far. I just started last night. I hope to design a new header and back ground for my blog.
